I'm disinclined to go back and manually tag each image in the .kmz file...especially given the explanatory annotations I was able to do in the .kmz file. I could automate it if the geotags were actually exposed as real *tags* in addition to having the "friendly" dialog-based interface. Hopefully Flickr will be enhancing this soon. I am definitely looking foward to that. However the scalability might be an issue when the numbers of photos of some sites are too large. Yet they could come up with a solution. Namely that it's (a) not smooth enough and (b) probably benefits Yahoo! more than flickr users. And I felt the same way when Zooomr first integrated geotagging to their engine. I don't mean like an alternative to Flickr, but like a website focused in geolocated photos. For people that prefer Google Maps instead of Yahoo Maps and the possibility of watching the geolocated photos in Google Earth through KML feed, our project, Panoramio, may be an interesting option.
