Be accurately honest throughout you dealings with other people and what you blog. Belive in honesty, not from other people, but from yourself. Ther are no shades of gray in the question of honesty. There is only right and wrong.it is not blind, it is intelligence and good will of content - that a wrong may be righted or that a right is wronged.

Of all, you are only one who can judge that.

Deciseions you make and how you carry these decisions out is a reflection of whom you truely are. You cannot hide from youself or blogshpere.

Josha, I read your blog and find this posting very thought provative. You have raising the bar, hence my 2 cents !!

Gone are the days of screaming a press release into the void of the mainstream media. Come are the days of talking politely with fellow human beings.

Having worked at a PR firm in the past, I can definitely say that only dingbat PR people shoot press releases into the aether willy-nilly. The good ones do basically what you are describing here: cultivate long-term relationships with writers, and be ready with quotes and interviewees when writers are looking for leads and ideas. Journalists enjoy feeling loved just like bloggers, though I'm seeing the difference between the two get blurrier and blurrier from both sides.

I think my comments were taken a little out of context. What I said was I get a lot of email requests from people and I feel guilty about not being able to answer it all. Not quite the same as me saying they're all link whores (although I think I used the phrase in a joking manner) :-)

Flammable - moi?
