Isn't it just a tad naive to act like Netscape is the only site that does this? It happens on Digg, Reddit, Delicious, Slashdot, etc. Just doesn't always happen with the knowledge/approval of the site maintainer (allegedly). In fact, show me a bookmarking site, and I'll show you three scams to game it. When a link to a spam site that's more than seven years old gets posted and voted to the front page in ten minutes, and EVERY SINGLE comment is asking "How in hell did that happen? This is a spam link!" and it happens at least five times per day, you don't have to look far to see what's going on.

If there's a paid scheme to spam comments on blogs less than a day old, I'd think just *maybe* it spreads outside of Netscape. Netscape is just honest about it.
