North Shore Web Geek Meetup: April 17th at the Grog

The next North Shore Web Geek Meetup is happening this Thursday night, April 17, in Newburyport, MA.

Here are the details:

Date: Thursday, April 17, 2008
Place: The Grog (see map)
Start: ~6-7pm
Ends: ~9-10pm

By the way, at this meeting we’ll be setting the date for the next one, so that we can get the word out as early as possible.

Travel tips:

By Car: Downtown Newburyport is ~3 miles off of Interstate 95, so it’s very easy to find and fast to get into/out of by car. (this ain’t the city)
Commuter Rail: Newburyport is at the end of the commuter rail…if we have any folks coming on the 5:36 or the 6:15 we’ll do a pick up (the train station is about a mile away from the pub) (commuter rail schedule)

Last Minute Notice: Newburyport Meetup Tomorrow Night

Hey folks, I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t had time to announce the next North Shore Web Geeks meetup, happening tomorrow night in Newburyport, MA.

Notice The meetup has been moved to the Rockfish, only a stone’s throw away from the Grog. See Map below

North Shore Web Geek Meetup: Feb 7 in Newburyport, MA

Earlier this month we held our first North Shore Web Geek Meetup here in Newburyport, MA, USA. It was amazingly cold. Still, we had 30 or so folks from the area show up and it was great. We even had two folks from Providence! come: Adam Darowski and Michelle Riggen-Ransom. (they won prizes for coming the farthest)

So, back by popular demand, we’re doing it again: a North Shore Web Geek Meetup on February 7 in Newburyport, MA.

This time we’re doing a new venue: The Grog. The Grog is a great spot a bit closer to Market Square. They have good food, good beer, and will not force us out of their place with a band like Rosie’s did. In fact, I’ve reserved a private area (on the 2nd floor) with its own bar so we should be all set. They know we’re coming this time.

And, while Jeff won’t be there to hand out Leopard disks, we will have prizes. Haven’t decided on the criteria for winning yet, though. I want everyone to be able to win.
