I’ve never advertised on myspace before but I can’t imagine it to be very successful with normal banner ads.

People still use myspace?
As a web developer I’d say ignoring ads is about twice as easy then someone who doesnt understand the basic structure of a site and where ads most often are.

I never much got into MySpace but from my experience with Facebook, when I actually notice an ad, the banner ads are absolutely terrible — almost no relevance whatsoever. I don’t understand how their ads can remain so poorly targeted for so long.
Their news feed ads do at least attract my attention, yet they are rarely relevant to me…

With the way some myspace pages look, the ads are probably the least annoying part of the site. Strange huh?

I have an experience, that only some freaks have sites on my space… At least I know one… And having ads on it… I can´t imagine it would be successful.

I think it’s a numbers game . Remember theses social networks (i.e My Space , Face book) as millions of users , most of them what to kill time ….so there must be certain amount of people who clicks on these anyway.
Otherwise why face book and my space worth so much ?
