Joshua, I’m a long time reader, living in Washington DC. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to the User Experience Week conference. Would you be interested in doing a meet up? There are a bunch of cool coffee shops and bars in the DC area.

Where can I find more information about User Experience Week 2007?

And don’t forget about your “Best Practices for Social Web Design” session at December’s Web Design World! :-)

Any chance of a session in London? (UK, not Ontario.) I’d be interested to attend if such an opportunity presents itself.

Hi Mathew, no sessions planned in the UK as of yet. I’m certainly open to any possibilities, though.

ABOUT

Bokardo is the blog of Joshua Porter, a web designer/developer, researcher, and writer. I live in Newburyport, MA, USA.

WHAT IS SOCIAL DESIGN?

Social design is design that focuses on the social lives of users. It deals with the activities, behaviors, and motivations of people who work and play together through software interfaces. It is built on the observation that many of the decisions we make are greatly affected by those we surround ourselves with in our social lives: our family, friends, and colleagues. Exploring our motivations and how to design interfaces to support them is what the Bokardo blog is all about.
