I love this! I’m presenting on Web 2.0 to some teachers in August and would love it if you would allow me to use this image. Credit will be given to you of course!

A large amount of choices could be pointing at the solidness, trustworthyness of business or enterprise. It does not make it easy to *pick* the best choice in the shortest amount of time for the end-user, customer or client. But the longer the stay, the better inspite of the lack of a optimal user experience or usable site in that case. Though when the path of what potential successive choices the website end-user is laid out combining all these optimisations, it could well be that many choices lead to better services and more buys, better user experiences, returning visitors??

Great, great, great, great comic (or do I have to use the currently-politically-correct “graphic narrative?”)

Love it - the paradox of choice.

ABOUT

Bokardo is the blog of Joshua Porter, a web designer/developer, researcher, and writer. I live in Newburyport, MA, USA.

WHAT IS SOCIAL DESIGN?

Social design is design that focuses on the social lives of users. It deals with the activities, behaviors, and motivations of people who work and play together through software interfaces. It is built on the observation that many of the decisions we make are greatly affected by those we surround ourselves with in our social lives: our family, friends, and colleagues. Exploring our motivations and how to design interfaces to support them is what the Bokardo blog is all about.
